Max Dudler
Max Dudler, born in Altenrhein in Switzerland, studied architecture at the Städelschule in Frankfurt/M and at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin. He is founder and head of the architectural practice of the same name founded in 1992 with branches now in Berlin, Zurich and Frankfurt. The focus of the practice has since been extended beyond classic architectural tasks. In the meantime, Max Dudler has transferred his conceptual approach into ever new contexts from urban planning, transportation infrastructure, conversions, preservation tasks, exhibitions to furniture design. Numerous awards, among others most recently the BDA award “Nike 2010” for the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum, are responses of a continuous, persistent occupation with architecture. Since 2004 Max Dudler teaches as a professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
