Dietmar Eberle
Sustainability: "The future of the past"
The Austrian Dietmar Eberle, visiting Professor at aac, and his practice Baumschlager & Eberle, are primarily associated with a residential timber development which is both innovative and traditional. In his lecture, Eberle focuses on the criteria that define sustainability, the criteria a building has to fulfil in order to merit being called sustainable in an economic and ecological sense. In this respect perhaps, the view ahead to technical advances is less important than contemplation of the past.
